    Job Description

    The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Orbita manages and engages in activities related to sourcing and qualifying new business opportunities that fuel the company’s growth. A successful Business Development Representative is an adaptive, energetic contributor who prospects, nurtures, and helps close new business opportunities.


    Essential Job Functions

    • Source and qualify new leads
      • Outbound
        • Develop Account Plans for Targeted Accounts
        • Reach out to sales targets with compelling messaging delivered through email, social, phone, and web conferencing
      • Inbound
        • Follow up on leads generated by marketing activity
      • Manage the initial phases of the deal cycle in partnership with Sales Executives utilizing the BANT qualification method (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)
    • Sales Support
      • Set up meetings and product demos for Orbita Sales Executives to generate actionable sales opportunities
    • Marketing
      • Coordinate with Marketing creation of materials and messaging for prospecting activity.
      • Provide feedback on prospects’ receptivity to our value proposition, to ensure continuous learning and improvement for Sales, Marketing, and Product
    • Administration
      • Report weekly KPIs and Metrics, including Outreach activity (e.g., Calls, Emails, LinkedIn) to Sales management
      • Use company CRM (Hubspot) to develop and engage a database of leads and to record all communication and sales activities



    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1-4 years of experience as a Business Development Representative or related sales position
    • Proven track record of success in B2B sales environment with SaaS, cloud-based technology sales experience
    • Familiarity with healthcare (Providers, Payers, and/or MedTech/Device) strongly preferred
    • Sales experience including prospecting, cold calling, client presentations, qualifying opportunities, and coordinating sales meetings
    • Training in solution, consultative selling, and challenger selling a plus
    • Technically capable and a desire to improve processes
    • Persistence, drive, and the ability to overcome objections
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
    • Platforms and Administrative Abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and questioning skills
    • Related experience using SaaS based CRMs required (e.g., Hubspot,
    • Proficiency in Office 360 required
    • Proficiency in prospecting, marketing, and sales automation systems (e.g., Hubspot, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator) a plus


    The base salary range for this role is $70,000 – $75,000 USD. The actual salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, market data/ranges, and internal equity. This position is eligible for an Incentive plan & bonus plan.
