    Job Description

    The Junior Controller is responsible for all accounting functions at Orbita and will be involved with internal and external reporting of financial information. The right candidate must be technically talented, hands-on, and able to close the books efficiently. The ability to establish and maintain financial controls from transaction management to investor reporting will be a key to success. The Junior Controller will be responsible for establishing and implementing accounting and financial strategies, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate will have broad accounting experience, a customer-focused attitude, and a commitment to getting the job done. This position will report directly to the CFO.



    • Finance
      • Update, manage and tie close schedules every month
      • Own the KPI reporting(monthly) for investors and management
      • Manage the cash roll forward to forecast needs
      • Accounts Payable; make sure that bills are paid accurately and promptly
      • Assist with maintenance of the Company’s capitalization table
      • Provide general support to partners & vendors
    • Managing Systems
      • Maintain financial systems to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of transactions performed within the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
        • Integrate US and Australian finances
      • Coordinate with HR with processing the semi-monthly payroll (TriNet) o Commissions tracking & management for the sales team
      • Track sales tax and nexus by state
      • Process employee expense reimbursement
      • Credit Cards; adding new users & adjusting limits
      • Identify new tools to streamline regular activities
    • Accounts Receivable
      • Track new contracts and onboard client platforms o Project progress tracking and invoicing
      • Review receivable aging regularly
    • Support
      • Sales team to manage their client relationships
      • Management with specific, accurate, and timely responses
      • Field questions from employees about 401(k)
      • Collaborate with human resources/TriNet to ensure that all deductions and payroll activities are accurate.
      • Support general administrative projects in Facilities, IT, and HR as needed.
      • Assist with specific projects and initiatives unique to fast-growing Digital Healthcare start-ups, such as system implementations, updates, and business process improvements
    • Annual Duties
      • Coordinate and lead annual audit process. Ensure both timely completion and accurate results of audits
      • Delaware and state registration
      • Insurance and compliance audits



    • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or General Business
    • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or related role
    • Highly organized with attention to detail
    • Experience and comfort in high growth, early-stage ventures
